About Espria Security Service Edge

Securing your Microsoft Investment

This new network security category is called Security Service Edge (SSE).

Espria SSE enables Microsoft Entra Internet Access and Microsoft Entra Private Access through a packaged consultancy service.

Global Secure Access is the unifying term used for both Microsoft Entra Internet Access and Microsoft Entra Private Access. Global Secure Access is the unified location in the Microsoft Entra admin centre. What is SSE in cyber security?

Security Service Edge (SSE) is a cloud-based security framework that protects how users access applications and the internet, no matter where they are. SSE focuses on security by controlling access to cloud services and online resources and keeping data safe through its main three components: Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA), Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB) and Secure Web Gateway (SWG).

The Espria Microsoft SSE services are available in various packages, Essentials, Standard and Premium, tailored to meet your specific requirements. 

Microsoft Entra Private Access

Built on Zero Trust principles, Microsoft Entra Private Access eliminates the risks and operational challenges of traditional virtual private networks (VPNs) while enhancing user productivity. The Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) of Espria SSE reduces the risks associated with implicit trust and lateral movement.

Microsoft Entra Internet Access

Configuration of Entra Internet Access to manage Microsoft traffic (not available on the Essentials plan) entails setting up the system to control how users access Microsoft services (like Office 365, Teams, etc.) securely over the internet.

 

Once Microsoft Entra Internet Access is configured for Microsoft traffic, users will be blocked from accessing Exchange Online and SharePoint Online from any location not connected through the Global Secure Access Client.

Defender for Cloud Apps

Defender for Cloud Apps, available as an add-on to your SSE package, allows you to harness the advantages of cloud applications while keeping control of your corporate resources. It enhances visibility into cloud activity and strengthens the protection of your corporate data.

Who Is Espria SSE for?

Espria SSE is ideal for organisations using traditional firewall VPN solutions, Microsoft Direct Access, or Always On VPN. It is also suitable for businesses leveraging Conditional Access policies or looking to consolidate their security tools for streamlined  protection and management.
