Espria are, and always have been, mindful of the environmental impact of our industry.
We continue to implement strategies and procedures, to manifest positive change. We want to have a positive impact and collectively reduce our carbon footprint through reusing, reducing and recycling resources. We choose to work with partners who share our values in the supply and support of sustainable solutions. Please join us on this journey.
Environmental
Working with Ecologi, Espria has committed to offsetting the impact of our live events through tree planting and has established the ‘Espria Forest’. We also contribute a percentage of invoiced revenue to the planting of wildflower meadows and seagrass landscapes to support the natural environment and wildlife.
Our Cloud Services Operations Centre in St Ives has been awarded and maintains ISO 14001 for our Environment Management System, in recognition of our efforts to reduce the environmental impact of our operations. Within this we aim to develop and promote new initiatives to reduce our carbon footprint whilst also helping to implement and manage changes in behaviour and processes for the benefit of future generations.
We also meet and maintain the requirements of ISO 9001 for Quality Management.
Remote Service – where possible our engineers will ‘remote-in’ rather than attend in person and where they do need to travel, public transport is prioritised.
Espria understand that our industry creates a carbon footprint. We are therefore very proud of our long history of investing in carbon offsetting projects around the world.
We will be replacing all employee laptops and monitors with British Standards Institute (BSI) certified refurbished devices, helping reduce our e-waste and carbon footprint.
Social
We like to support local charities, clubs and employees. Here are a few examples of recent support:
As part of our commitment to the local community, Espria are now proud sponsors of Ware FC Under 7’s football team.
Located just 300 yards from the Espria Head Offices, Ware FC’s under 7’s train and play matches on the same pitches as the first team and are currently leading the league for their age group. Read more about our sponsorship here.
We are supporting our colleague, Ben Lymn, who is part of our field engineer team, as he races in the 2024 American Cup Car British Championships. Ben had a challenging 2023 season – lessons were learned – not least of which was how to deal with A LOT of rain and the team finished further down the standings than they would have liked (9th)! But with determination and a great deal of hard work in testing and improving performance, Team #19 are ready to face everything the 2024 season can throw at them. Good luck!
Following our rebrand to Espria, we donated all our surplus Mode branded stationary, pens, water bottles and corporate clothing to the Hertford and Ware Foodbank. The pens and water bottles were used to help to raise funds at a recent church sale and the fleeces and soft shell jackets will be distributed amongst those in need at Christmas.
Shelford Rugby Club is one of the largest community sports clubs in East Anglia. They provide opportunities to participate in rugby for all men, women, young adults, teenagers and children of all abilities. The club is also a place for people to socialise, stay active and everyone is welcome.
Charles Fitch joined Espria 7 years ago and is a Client Manager, based in the Ware office. A ‘man mountain’, Charles is a Forward on the Men’s First XV and we are proud to be his shirt sponsor.
Charitable Donations
Since then, we have raised over £80k and continue in our fundraising efforts.
We donate to local projects near our offices, including supporting our local cricket club, funding a defibrillator for our village, and many other worthy causes. We also support many of our team members when they choose to raise money for charity.

Empowering our Clients
Sustainable Solutions
Below are 5 reasons why the Cloud is sustainable, allowing you to scale up or down quickly without being over-resourced.
- Reduces energy use
- Decreases GHGs (Greenhouse gases)
- Reduction of Technology waste
- Data centre efficiency
- Shift to renewal energy resources
By implementing analytical tools and reporting metrics, through our Sustainability Assessment, Espria are able to empower you to make better decisions, automate processes and thus providing more data driven sustainable solutions. Whether it’s a move from on-premises to cloud or from cloud-chaos to cloud-smart – we can improve your sustainability in a measurable and accountable way.
With a UK Government move to a wider focus on technology and its sustainability, similar to the EU’s Corporate Sustainability Reports Directive (CSRD) we can help you to ensure compliance with any future legislation, avoiding the pitfalls, like those seen with GDPR.
Through digital transformation, we support our clients in reducing their environmental impact through a lowered consumption of raw materials and resources, often reducing costs in the process.
Remote Service & Support
Moving to a cloud-based system not only reduces the need for on-premises infrastructure but also allows us to support you remotely. Any maintenance or system development can then be conducted remotely, reducing the need to travel and the carbon emissions this creates.
